Swarm Collusion Defense, explained for beginners

Swarm Collusion Defense makes sure a group of AI agents can't approve things for each other: agreement between agents is never permission.

What it is

Companies increasingly run teams of AI agents that hand work to each other. New tricks appear in the hand-offs: a loop where agent C hands authority back to agent A, three agents 'voting' to approve a payment with no person involved, an agent claiming the CEO authorized it, or one agent copying itself to look like many.

Swarm Collusion Defense builds a map of who authorized whom and checks it. The core rule: consensus is not authorization. Agents agreeing doesn't replace a person's approval.

An everyday comparison

A company rule that three junior staff agreeing doesn't equal the manager's signature.

How it works, in 4 steps

  1. The system maps agents, people and who authorized whom.
  2. It looks for loops, votes without a person, claimed-but-missing authority and copies.
  3. Any of these blocks the action.
  4. A signed receipt records the decision.
