Grading trajectories, not just answers
An agent can reach the right answer through a dangerous or wasteful path: duplicate calls, unnecessary spend, a risky step later corrected. Answer-only grading misses all of it.
TrajectoryGate grades the path: duplicate calls, spend the answer didn't need (found by searching back through the dependency graph), and risky-then-corrected steps.
Use trajectory grades as release gates: a correct answer with a dangerous path fails.
Key points
- Right answer ≠ safe path.
- Grade duplicates, unneeded spend, risky-then-corrected.
- Gate releases on the trajectory.
